Artist Statement

I currently weave linen hangings that have strong architectural elements of lines, and blocks connected by running threads. The design is taken to a very basic, simplified form to allow color and material stand out. Balancing positive and negative spaces challenges me to create harmony within the piece. Exploring new materials and techniques has opened up exciting possibilities working in 3D format. I look forward to creating new kind of textile pieces using unusual materials.
